I was honoured to have my latest book The Conflict Revolution feature in the C-Suite Networks top 100 hundred books as part of their 100th celebrations.
Conflict is an inevitable part of life. It’s also an essential part of leadership, as it provides an opportunity for growth and learning. However, if not managed effectively, conflict can be destructive and lead to decreased productivity and lower morale.
If you’re like most people, you probably don’t enjoy conflict. In fact, many of us go to great lengths to avoid it. But the truth is that conflict is a natural and unavoidable part of life. And as a leader, you’re going to have to learn how to deal with it effectively if you want to be successful.
Conflict can arise in any relationship – with your spouse, your kids, your parents or your friends. But as a leader, the conflicts you encounter are likely to be more complicated and harder to resolve. That’s because there are often multiple stakeholders involved, each with their own agendas and opinions.
So what can you do? How can you effectively manage conflict in such a challenging environment? In this book we explore what it is, how to manage it and strategies to remove it before it occurs.

Navigating The Waters Episode 6 Making the move from Corporate Life to becoming an Entrepreneur
Making the jump from corporate life to entrepreneur can be both exhilarating and daunting. After all, you are leaving behind the security of a steady paycheck and benefits package to start something new. But with careful planning and execution, making the move can be a lot less stressful than you think. Here are a few tips to help get you started.
First, take the time to assess your skills and experience. What do you bring to the table that could be valuable in starting and running your own business? Do you have experience in marketing, finance, or management? Are you creative and good at coming up with new ideas? Knowing what strengths you have will help you determine what kind of business to start.
Next, research the market and create a business plan. This may seem like common sense, but it’s important to have a clear idea of who your target market is and what needs they have that your business can fulfill. Once you have a solid understanding of the market, you can start putting together a detailed business plan. This should include things like your financial projections, your marketing strategy, and a detailed description of your product or service.
Finally, make sure you have the financial resources in place to make your dream a reality. Starting a business takes money, so be sure to have a solid plan in place for how you will finance your venture. If you don’t have the savings to cover it yourself, look into small business loans or investors.

How to Accelerate The Success of Your Brand Like Rolls-Royce with Peter Lavers
Ex Rolls-Royce – Peter Lavers shared some amazing information with me on the legacy of Rolls-Royce and success of your brand, he went to work there straight from school 35 years ago so shared some great insights with me.
Even when things don’t go too well in business and life you must stick to this principle. Especially in the customer service world when focusing on the figures.
“Short-termism” financially motivated behaviours can damage long term business success.
Keeping on doing the right thing is vitally important for all of us going through our careers. If you keep on doing the right things then people will respect this noble behaviour. When times to improve people will come back to you and if you don’t compromise as they will remember how you behaved.
Keeping your authenticity, however humble, is the right thing to do.

Digital Transformation And People Change: Champion or Change Critic
In this episode of the podcast, we have a deep conversation with Richard Godfrey, Kim-Adele Randall and Nishadi Ranasinghe, about digital transformation projects and the enemy to success is people. We discuss how digital transformation can impact employees and ways to manage change.

Richard has over ten years experience in Digital, Efficiency and Change. He has extensive knowledge of both the public and private sectors, with experience in Sales, Operations, Policy, Contract Management and Contract Performance before moving into Digital. In his time in local government Richard wrote one of the first Cloud Technology Strategies, negotiated the first direct deal with Cityfibre, worked on the Connecting Cambridgeshire Fibre broadband project, won AWS’ City on a Cloud competition.
He was a member of the team that won The Worlds Smartest City in 2015, was named as one of the first Digital Leaders 100 club members and named as one of Computer Weekly’s rising stars (2015). Richard also featured in Forbes magazine for his work on Digital City Peterborough, bringing all the layers of infrastructure, cloud technology, the public sector and the private sector to grow Peterborough’s Digital and Technology sectors.
Richard is also a keen public speaker having spoken across the world on cloud computing and is a judge for a number of computing and digital awards. Richard has also published his second book – “Be The Five – Digital confidence: a simple process for digital success” available now on Amazon.
